Plot: January 3, 1982. Sergio (Riccardo Scamarcio) is in Venice, where he put together a group to attack the prison to free four detainees to Rovigo and including Susanna (Giovanna Mezzogiorno), the woman he loves and with whom he shared ideas and political choices. Based on a true story, that of Rovigo is one of the most daring escapes ever devised during the turbulent years of lead. As the group approaches the prison, Sergio recalls the early days of hiding, moving arms and his meeting with Susan. Meanwhile, the day of 3 January draws to a climax: the group arrived in Rovigo, Susanna in prison and others have set the time. An explosion blows up the wall and began the assault. Susanna and Sergio are found, the escape was successful, but not everything goes as planned ...
